Rain, Sliding Doors
Just a couple of pieces I like for inspiration:
1. Rain, which is a music video by Madonna back when she was one of the hottest things on the planet. It's Asian influence and her stuff is routinely multicultural.
As far as I know, that video features the shortest haircut she ever had and her hair is uncharacteristically dark in that video.
Like Madonna, my hair actually grows in brunette but is usually some shade of blonde. That's not intentional. My hair has a mind and life of its own.
I was a brunette as a full-time homemaker. If I had career success and began spending scads more time indoors, I imagine it would stay on the dark side and I keep it fairly short these days.
I also prefer sleeveless styles or long sleeves aesthetically. I've mostly lived in men's T-shirts in recent years and have the tan line on my arms to prove it but if my circumstances were conducive to starting my own clothing line, I imagine I would incorporate more sleeveless looks into my wardrobe.
And also try out making myself three-quarter sleeves. I wear short sleeves mostly because long sleeves are a cleanliness issue for me.
Notice how they both have rolled up sleeves in this movie scene. Clean sleeves are a goal.
2. The movie Sliding Doors is a kind of confusing as it bounces back and forth between two alternate timelines for the same person. I don't remember the plot real well but they give Gwyneth Paltrow short hair in one time line, presumably to make it easier to follow which is which.
In one scene, she has short blonde hair and puts flowers in it to dress up for a party or something. I can't find a clip of that scene in specific, but the official trailer has a second or two where that look flashes by. Don't blink or you will miss it.
