This store is designed to sell you an entire capsule wardrobe appropriate for office wear. It leans business casual because we sell knits, which are a little less formal looking than typical business formal clothes.
Once you have a basic wardrobe, we hope you come back periodically to update your wardrobe with fresh pieces a la the French Wardrobe method.
A French Wardrobe is a wardrobe of basics that adds a few new pieces per season (2x or 4x per year) to keep your look up to date without being a slave to fashion.
For your convenience, we have designed several basic wardrobes which you can simply click on, enter your measurements and purchase as is or customize by changing the details, such as colors and patterns.
We hope to make some standard options available consistently for years to come while offering some colors and patterns on a limited run basis to keep things fresh and interesting.
Generally speaking, each capsule uses three colors and roughly follows this template:
3 suits:
1. A patterned suit in two or three colors consisting of a jacket or sweater plus two of the following: pants, skirt or dress.
2. Solid suit or coordinating pattern in two colors with jacket and two bottoms.
3. Solid sweater plus two bottoms.
4 tops
1. Primary color
2. 2nd color top
3. 3rd color top
4. Patterned top in two of the three colors
